LVEMP II Project

The baseline study for livelihood interventions in Nyando with specific focus on water and sanitation, renewable energy and aquaculture was carried out in August 2012. The study focused in the Lower Nyando (Awach and Kabodho East Sub-locations) and Middle Nyando (Koru and Nyando sub-locations). The study was part of the LVEMPII Civil Society Watch project’s effort to establish the baseline information as a bench mark for monitoring LVEMP II project implemented by Government of Kenya.


The East African Sustainability (SusWatch) Network is a network of NGOs from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania spearheaded by Uganda Coalition for Sustainable Development (UCSD), Sustainable Environmental Development Watch Network (SusWatch Kenya), and Tanzania Coalition for Sustainable Development (TCSD). EA SusWatch Regional Secretariat is hosted by UCSD in Kampala, Uganda.
