The EA Suswatch Network is currently implementing LVEMP II Civil Society (CS) Watch project. This is a three-year initiative of the EA SusWatch Network, implemented from November 2011 to October 2014, with support from the Government of Sweden. This project seeks to lobby and advocate for realization of results-based performance from the Lake Victoria Environmental Management Project (LVEMP II) and implementation of the East African Community Climate Change Policy (EACCCP).

There is a growing need for Civil Society Organizations in Uganda to learn from communities that are adapting to Climate Change practise to be able to survive during long dry spells. The Uganda National NGO Forum together with Kikandwa Environmental Association organized the 2015 CSO leaders’ exposure visit to Kikandwa village in Mityana district.

Kenya is facing an eminent food shortage at the time when there are drastic weather changes- or what we call now, climate change- which has affected food production, transportation and storage. The Kenya government is undertaking major policy changes at its various organs of operation including the key agriculture and livestock ministries and other sectors as per article 43C of the new constitution of Kenya.
